My name is Denise Jacob, owner and photographer.  Twisted River Photography began with a passion for sports photography and has evolved into a dynamic venture exploring the creative side of portrait photography. My journey is fueled by a relentless passion for capturing life’s fleeting yet profound moments—those moments of concentration, of joy, of defeat, of vulnerability. Those moments are powerful. They tell the story.

This blog has been something I’ve wanted to do for awhile….to basically journal my story, to follow me through the challenges of building this business. I didn’t start this at the beginning because my focus was just learning the craft of portrait photography and honestly it’s been an exhausting period of time. Now that I have my feet under me, I want to start reflecting on the path to this point and then carry on and document what lies ahead. I hope you come along for the ride.
